2012 Sparkle Outstanding 50 Cocktail Reception

In 2001, Asian American Business Development Center organized its first“Outstanding 50 Asian Americans in Business Award”. Over the last 11 years,AABDC has honored over 500 individuals at its annual awards Gala Dinner inNew York City. It is still the only forum to highlight the achievements of AsianAmericans from across the United States, representing all industries and promotinggreater recognition of Asian American businesses’ contributions to the generaleconomy. The award recipients of this year’s “Outstanding 50” represented 14 Asian countries.

Several times a year, AABDC organizes networking events in New York Cityfor the Outstanding 50 past awardees. The events are usually co-hosted by abusiness partner. On October 18, AABDC will be co-hosting together CORA, the world’s leading manufacturer of large and rare diamonds. CORA has been in business for over 30 years and is world-famous for cutting and polishing a 110.3ktpear-shaped yellow diamond known as “Cora Sunset.” The other co-host is ZENITH, a luxury watch manufacturer. ZENITH has presented watches to Outstanding 50 Pinnacle Award recipients for the past two years. Exquisite limited edition ZENITH watches and CORA rare Diamond jewelry will be on display at this “Sparkle” night to fully support the activities of the “Outstanding 50.”

Since it was launched in 1994, the Asian American Business Development Center has been instrumental in promoting the competitiveness of Asian businesses in mainstream society, and has strengthened the cohesion of the Asian community.John Wang is founder and president of the Asian American Business Development Center.
